Why am i now being called a "Jerk" because i slept with this girl and didn't offer her more?

So i slept with this girl i met through mutual friends, but now i'm being tarnished with being a "jerk" because i slept with her and she thought there was more for the 2 of us. I told her when we met that i after anything serious, just a bit of fun, so in my opinion she knew what she was doing from the get go. I then said to her later on that "maybe we'll see what happens" i said maybe there could be more for us, but i didn't actually mean it because i didn't want to date her. She has obviously took what i said and turned it into something different. Now our mutual friends are accusing me of "playing her" because i slept with her and didn't go any further with her. Wtf, it's not my problem she was looking more into it than i meant. I told her from the start i wanted "just a bit of fun" so it's her problem she has taken it all out of context. Now i am getting hle from our mutual female friends, and you know what girls are like when they are close with each other, it means i will never live this down lol.
