Credit card recommendations for young person?

I am 19, with no credit to speak of. Technically I have no need of a credit card, since I have a debit card at my credit union. However I do not have a credit score, and have been told that I could build good credit by having a credit card and paying the bill for it. It would also be nice to have one in case of emergency. I don't plan on using it extensively. Can anyone recommend a card without many fees or high interest that might be available to someone without credit history?
