Competing wireless utilities?

hi - at home my computer connects to my BT wireless signal no problem using the BT homehub utility. but when i am away form home and i wish to connect to wireless, BT homehub and Intel Pro/wireless start competing with each other to get the signal. when one gets it the other one cuts in about a minute later then the first one goes off then so does the other. so i have tp repeat connecting to wireless. intel pro/wireless asks me to disable it but it won't ever stay disabled. and can't keep removing BT home hub software from the computer when away from home to keep the connection stable. is there somthing else i need to do to ensure the wireless utilities stop competing with each other like this?! many thanks - marty
