Why does my car do this ?

i have a 2000 mercury sable and i just got it not too long ago it runs great and everything but when i am slowing down or stoping the streeing wheel shakes really bad and i dont know what it is ...i just got 4 new tire put on it and had an alignment done ..but it still doing this ...and anyone tell me what could be wrong with my car ????
